Nathan Wilson is the CEO/Founder of Project Meridian Foundation. Since 2002, he has worked tirelessly to develop partnerships with authorities and agencies, create an operating plan for the project, raise funds, and increase awareness of this critical issue both on Capitol Hill and in the general public. Nathan, in 2005, was a Co-Sponsor / Speaker at Georgetown University on the topic "Children in Slavery" and also participated in a panel discussion for students at Georgetown University in 2006.
Nathan is a native of Indiana, raised in Richmond, Virginia. His career has prepared him well for this role. Nathan is a disabled Veteran who received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Air Force, in which he served for a little less than eight years. He served as a Security Forces (SF). He has led, manages, supervises, and performs force protection duties, including use of deadly force to protect personnel and resources. Protects nuclear and conventional weapons systems and other resources. Performs air base defense functions contributing to the force protection mission. Controls and secures terrain inside and outside military installations. C.E.R.Team, Defends personnel security details, equipment, and resources from hostile forces. Operates in various field environments, performs individual, and team patrol movements, both mounted and dismounted, tactical & strategic movement, battle procedures, convoys, military operations other than war, anti-terrorism duties, and other special duties. Operates communications equipment, vehicles, intrusion detection equipment, crew-served weapons, and other special purpose equipment. Applies self-aid buddy care, life saving procedures to include CPR, as first responder to accident and disaster scenes.
Provides armed response and controls entry. Detects and reports presence of unauthorized personnel and activities. Implements security reporting and alerting system. Enforces standards of conduct, discipline, and adherence to laws and directives. Directs vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Investigates motor vehicle accidents, minor crimes, and incidents. Operates speed measuring, drug and alcohol, and breath test devices. Apprehends and detains suspects. Searches persons and property. Secures crime and incident scenes. Collects, seizes, and preserves evidence. Conducts interviews of witnesses and suspects. Obtains statements and testifies in official judicial proceedings. Responds to disaster and relief operations. Participates in contingencies.
Develops plans, policies, procedures, and detailed instructions to implement SF programs. Plans, organizes, and schedules SF activities. Provides oversight, guidance, and assistance to commanders with the application of information, personnel, and industrial security programs. Operates pass and registration activities. Supervises and trains SF augmentees. Provides on-scene supervision for security forces. Inspects and evaluates effectiveness of SF personnel and activities. Analyzes reports and statistics.
Leads, manages, supervises, and implements ground weapons training programs. Operates SF armories. Controls and safeguards arms, ammunition, and equipment. Instructs ground weapons qualification training. Provides guidance on weapons placement to security forces and ground defense force commanders. Inspects ground weapons and replaces unserviceable parts. Analyzes malfunctions by inspection and serviceability testing. Uses precision gauges, testing instruments, and special tools to adjust parts and operating mechanisms. Function-fires weapons for accuracy and serviceability. Controls and operates firing ranges and associated facilities to include supervising construction and rehabilitation.

Knowledge
. Knowledge is mandatory of: Weaponry, laws, directives, programs, policies, and procedures governing SF activities; installation security; weapon system and resource security; anti-terrorism; law enforcement and investigations; military working dog function; air base defense; armament and equipment; training; pass and registration; information security; and combat arms. and augmented as Law Enforcement for the protection, security and safety of nuclear weapons' transport via air, land, and Air base ground defense (ABGD).
He was the USAF representative on a new program to coordinate work on F-16 aircraft parts through a coordinated effort with the U.S. Embassy and Belgium government. His additional duties were Mobility Officer in Charge (OIC) the war readiness of a squadron of 347 personnel to ensure all equipment and personnel were prepared for worldwide deployment. He returned to European theater and held three positions simultaneously as Officer in Charge (OIC) of Security for field deployments and Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of Logistics, Strategic and Tactical strategy, Secondary AFC 60350 Plans development as well as (NCOIC) of Security & Vehicle Operations for the 601st Air Support Operations Center (ASOC), Safety (NCOIC). He also was the Combat Arms Instructor for the (ASOC), the command and control center to provide air support for all U.S. and N.A.T.O. forces for the 5th Corps Army group.

In addition, Nathan has more than 10 years' experience in sales and marketing. He has created and trained sales forces, both nationally and internationally. His numerous public speaking engagements include the topics: Human Trafficking of Sex Trade in the United States; Children in Slavery in the U.S.; Combating the Sex Trade; Business Techniques, Human Trafficking and HIV; and Strategies in Combating Human Trafficking. Nathan's experience as a political consultant and adviser at the federal, state, and local levels enables him to be a successful advocate in Washington, D.C. for awareness of trafficking. He has also served more than 10 years as a medical professional working in the Emergency room, Hematology and Oncology, working with critical care patients, conducting patient assessments, and counseling sexually abused children and children of gang violence.
In the past he has served in New Jersey as an EMT-C with Volunteer Rescue EMS. He has served as the President of his homeowner association and has participated in many other non-profit outreach programs in Los Angeles, California in Skid Row with the feeding the homeless and in Greater Richmond as a SCAN volunteer. Nathan has worked with orphans in Kiev, Ukraine, and Sardinia, Italy in support of org which recover children of the streets and provided a safe environment to stay. In Germany he was a volinteer fireman and would assisted in gathering & delivering firewood to the poor & elderly; has worked with programs to bring supplies to the elderly; and many other humanitarian missions.
Nathan is fluent in German, Italian, and is conversant in Thai.
